Families in Transition
PWM is actively involved with Families in Transition, from serving at the Food Pantry to sponsoring the Walk Against Hunger and the Annual Breakfast. Families in Transition operates more than 25 facilities in NH with their properties located in Concord, Dover, Manchester, and Wolfeboro. With more than 200 units for families and individuals, the housing program enables participants to achieve stability and maintain permanent housing.
NHSPCA & NH Humane Society
Our team is made up of animal lovers, from cats and dogs to squirrels and birds, we all love animals. For that reason, we have enjoyed helping our community and the animals less cared for. We visited NHSPCA and were happy to learn about the animals they help, and the services they provide, meet the staff as well as tour the facility.
Our latest rescue involvement is with the NH Humane Society located in Laconia, NH. We learned of this rescue through one of our team members.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand
NML is a big sponsor for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and our Network Office and PWM are involved in supporting the organization. Over the summer, Northwestern Mutual kicked off its social media #LemonTopChallenge to raise awareness for finding better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. It was common to see a team member posing with a lemon on their head and posting to social media.
